VORA — Privacy Policy

VORA does its work on your phone. This policy explains, in plain words, what that means.

In short

What VORA processes on your device

When you allow access to Photos, VORA reads your screenshots (or the photos you choose) on the device to recognise text, dates, amounts and other details, and to remind you when something becomes relevant. It stores, inside the app: the recognised text, small thumbnails, the details it extracted, and—only for items you add or choose to keep—a copy of the picture. Optional on-device language features (Apple Intelligence) run locally and only when your device supports them.

Photos

VORA only reads the library. It deletes a photo from your library only when you explicitly choose “Delete from Photos” or “Delete from the app and from Photos”, and iOS asks you to confirm. Deleted photos go to “Recently Deleted” in Photos for 30 days, as usual in iOS.

Notifications and Face ID

Reminders are local notifications created only after you accept them; they are scheduled on your phone. The optional lock uses Face ID / your passcode through iOS; VORA never receives or stores biometric data.

Links you add

If you paste a link, your phone contacts that website directly (through Apple’s LinkPresentation) to fetch its title and picture. The site may see your IP address and device information like in any visit; nothing goes through our servers. When you tap “Watch” or “Open link”, the page opens in Apple’s Safari view inside the app and that website’s own policies apply (including cookies and consent notices, which are yours to answer).

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details, name or Apple Account; the app only learns, through StoreKit on your device, whether a subscription is active.

Backups

“Back up my memories” creates a file that you save where you choose (for example iCloud Drive). VORA does not upload it anywhere. The file is not encrypted by VORA; it is protected by whatever protects the place where you save it. Like other apps, the app’s data on your phone may be included in your own iOS / iCloud device backups according to your iOS settings.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete an item, choose “Delete everything” in Settings, or uninstall the app. We cannot access or delete it for you because we never receive it.

Children

VORA is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or erase on our side. If you have any question or request about privacy (for example under GDPR or LGPD), contact us through the support page below.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
